FAQ's

Do I need experience to join Pathway To Performance?

Yes — this is our level-up program, not a beginner program. It's designed for players who have completed Pathway To Play or who play at roughly a 3.0 level. You should be comfortable serving, rallying, keeping score, and playing recreational games. If you're brand new, start with Pathway To Play — we'll get you here.

Do I need a membership to sign up?

No. Pathway To Performance is open to members and non-members alike. Better yet, if you join a quarterly membership within 14 days of your final clinic, your entire $149 program fee credits toward your first quarter — so the program can effectively pay for itself.

What clinics are included, and how much court time do I get?

The program includes five 1.5-hour specialty clinics — 7.5 hours of coaching in total:

  • The Third Shot & Transition Game
  • Kitchen Mastery: Dinks, Resets & Hands Battles
  • Serve, Return & Attack Patterns
  • Doubles Strategy & Positioning
  • Competitive Match Play Under Pressure (the capstone)
How do I schedule my clinics?

Once you purchase the program, you'll book each clinic through the Court Reserve app — the same way you book courts and other PACE programs. Pick the session dates and times that fit your schedule.

Do I have to take the clinics in order?

We strongly recommend it. The program is a progression — each clinic builds on the one before it, and the capstone match-play clinic pulls everything together. That said, we know life happens; if you need to take a clinic out of sequence, talk to us and we'll make it work.

How big are the classes?

This is the best part: every Performance clinic is capped at 4 players. That's near semi-private training — more reps, more ball touches, and more direct coaching feedback than any large-group format. It's also why these clinics are priced above our standard clinics when purchased individually.

Can I retake a clinic?

Absolutely. If you want another crack at a particular skill, you can book any Performance clinic again at the standalone rate ($45 non-member / $35 member), subject to availability. Many players repeat Kitchen Mastery or the capstone — the reps compound.

How long is each clinic?

Each of the five clinics runs 1.5 hours, for 7.5 hours of small-group coaching in total.

How long do I have to complete the program?

The program is self-paced — you book clinics as they fit your schedule. Most players complete all five within five to eight weeks, and we recommend keeping sessions no more than a couple of weeks apart so skills stay sharp and build on each other.

What if I miss a scheduled clinic?

No problem. Simply reschedule through the Court Reserve app and choose a new time that works for you. Clinics run on a regular weekly schedule, so there's always another session coming up.

What should I bring?

Your paddle, court shoes, water, and comfortable athletic clothes. With only 4 players on the court, you'll be moving the entire session — come ready to work. If you need a paddle, ask our front desk about demo options.

Is this program right for me?

If you can serve, rally, keep score, and hold your own in recreational games — and you're ready to start winning the points that matter — you're ready. Pathway To Performance is built for improving players making the 3.0 to 3.5+ jump, and players of any age are welcome.

How is this different from Pathway To Play?

Pathway To Play teaches you the game — the rules, the strokes, the fundamentals. Pathway To Performance teaches you to win it. This program is about strategy, shot selection, decision-making, and performing under pressure — the skills that move you from "I can play" to "I can compete."

Amazing facility with Cushion X courts that reduce stress on the joints. Courts are spaced and arranged perfectly. A level of play for everyone and the staff is friendly and helpful. Very clean and organized. And you can cold plunge after you play to reinvigorate and reduce inflammation. The premier facility in Greater Houston. Highly recommend!!

Pace Pickleball Club is probably one of the best facilities in town. Cushion X courts are really nice, layout is well thought out and the staff was very welcoming. I will definitely be coming back and encourage all pickleball players to check them out!

Best pickleball place in Houston!!! My friends and I came here for the first time and can’t say enough about it. The atmosphere was great, the staff were amazing. The man at the desk, Beau, was so welcoming, he was showing us the place and making sure we knew how things worked and where everything was and had the most positive attitude, he made the experience that much better. I can’t recommend this place enough, you must go try!!!
