Pathway To Performance

You've learned the game. Now learn to win it. Pathway To Performance is PACE's small-group coaching progression for players ready to break through to the next level. The gap between you and the players who always seem a step ahead is not talent or years, it is a handful of specific, learnable skills, and this program hands them to you one clinic at a time. With just four players per clinic, you get the reps, the feedback, and the coaching that actually move your game. Pick the clinics that target what is holding you back, put in the work, and watch the shots that used to intimidate you become the ones you look forward to hitting. Your next level is closer than you think.

Why the Package

What’s Included in the Program

➡️ 5 Classes Of Your Choice

➡️ 5 Open Play Passes

➡️ Rebate To Membership

Mastering Thirds, Drives and Drops: Learn when to drop, when to drive, and how to move from the baseline to the kitchen without donating points from no-man's-land. The single biggest 3.0-to-3.5 skill.

Kitchen Confidence: Dinks, Resets & Hands Battles. Place your dinks on command, reset hard balls instead of popping them up, and keep your cool when the hands get fast.

Serve & Destroy: Serves, Returns & Attack Patterns. Take control from the first ball: serve placement, deep pinning returns, the return-and-crash, and serve-plus-three patterns.

The Firefight: Speed-Ups, Counters & Hand Speed. Fire back and win the fast exchanges. When to pull the trigger, how to block and re-counter, and how to keep your paddle ready.

Advanced Kitchen Weapons: The shots that steal points. Ernes, around-the-posts (ATP), fakes, and poaches. Turn a good net game into one nobody wants to face.

Anticipate & Dominate: Reading the Game Before It Happens. Move earlier, not just faster. Read paddle angle and body position so you cut off shots and always feel like you have time.

Spin City: Rolls, Slice & Weaponized Spin. Put shape on the ball: topspin rolls that dip, slice that stays low and dies, and spin serves that wreck returns.

The Closer: Finishing at the Net. Stop missing the ball you earned. Finish overheads, punch volleys into the open court, and put away the high ball every time.

How do I schedule classes?

After registering, classes are scheduled through the Court Reserve app based on availability. You can choose sessions that fit your schedule.

Do I have to take the classes in any particular order?

While it’s recommended to follow the Pathway in order for the best experience, you’re welcome to choose the classes you’d like to take and attend them on your own schedule.

Can I take a class twice?

The Pathway To Play package comes with 8 punches. One punch per class.  If you'd like to take a class over again, you are free to do so.  Just know, it will take the place of another class.  Once passes have been used in totality, you may elect to take additional classes.  Class costs range from $25-$35.00

I've already paid and have taken the intro class, should I still buy the package?

Absolutely. Because you've already taken then intro class means you'll have one extra punch to use as you wish to retake a class or use on multiple open plays.

The Core Clinic is 1.5 hours long, can I take this class twice?

Yes, no problem.  Simply use one of your punches.

How long do I have to complete all 8 classes?

Take the classes at your own pace. Whether that's 4 weeks or 4 months. Life gets busy, and we get that. Your Pathway to Play package is ready when you are.

What if I miss a scheduled class?

No problem. Simply reschedule through the Court Reserve app and choose a new time that works for you. Classes run on a regular weekly schedule so there's always another session coming up.

What do I need to bring?

Just yourself and athletic shoes with non-marking soles. Some people bring their own water bottle, however we have drinks available if needed. If you don't have a paddle yet, we have loaners available at the front desk. And if you're ready to get your own, our pro shop has everything you need to get started.

Is this program good for older adults?

Honestly, it's great for any age. A lot of older adults have taken the program and absolutely love it. The youngest we would recommend is 12 years old. This is designed so any age can take it and learn.

How is this different from just showing up to open play?

Open play can be overwhelming if you've never played before. Pathway to Play gives you the skills, confidence, and court awareness to actually enjoy open play; instead of feeling lost in it. Think of it as your shortcut from standing on the sideline to being someone people want on their team.

Amazing facility with Cushion X courts that reduce stress on the joints. Courts are spaced and arranged perfectly. A level of play for everyone and the staff is friendly and helpful. Very clean and organized. And you can cold plunge after you play to reinvigorate and reduce inflammation. The premier facility in Greater Houston. Highly recommend!!

Pace Pickleball Club is probably one of the best facilities in town. Cushion X courts are really nice, layout is well thought out and the staff was very welcoming. I will definitely be coming back and encourage all pickleball players to check them out!

Best pickleball place in Houston!!! My friends and I came here for the first time and can’t say enough about it. The atmosphere was great, the staff were amazing. The man at the desk, Beau, was so welcoming, he was showing us the place and making sure we knew how things worked and where everything was and had the most positive attitude, he made the experience that much better. I can’t recommend this place enough, you must go try!!!
