Matt grew up on a tennis court in the Houston, TX area. He played in a 5A Highschool State Championship. Matt was a USPTA Certified Tennis Instructor for 10 years before he was introduced to Pickleball in 2010.

Matt has a 5.0 UTPR and over a dozen gold medals in USAPA Sanctioned Events. He is a 3X USAPA Mid-South Regional Champion. Matt is the Director of Testing and Training in the state of Texas for the IPTPA.

As an IPTPA Master Teaching Professional he has developed a reputation as being one of the top Pickleball Teachers in the country. He’s a proud member of Team Joola, which is one of the top pickleball paddle manufacturers in the world. Matt is very knowledgeable and passionate about helping players improve and looks forward to working with the players in Katy!

Dusty Stephenson was the esteemed Director of Racquet Sports at Wichita Falls Country Club for the last 1.5 years, where he brought a wealth of expertise and passion to the role. With 35 years of experience in teaching tennis and a Certified Master Tennis Professional Level 2 certification.Dusty is also a Certified IPTPA Pickleball Instructor with 9 years of experience in teaching pickleball. His experience in both tennis and pickleball makes him a versatile and valuable asset to PACE Pickleball Club. Dusty has dedicated his career to fostering a love for both games and helping players of all ages and skill levels reach their full potential.

Dusty’s commitment to excellence in racquet sports is reflected in his impressive track record. He has produced three top-ranked junior players who have earned college tennis scholarships, showcasing his ability to develop talent and guide young athletes towards successful careers.

In the realm of pickleball, Dusty has amassed an incredible 24 Gold medals in 5.0 singles, 14 Gold medals in 5.0 doubles, and 2 Gold medals in 5.0 mixed doubles, solidifying his status as a formidable competitor and knowledgeable instructor.
Under his leadership, previous clubs have seen significant advancements in its racquet sports programs, making them a premier destination for enthusiasts of both sports. Dusty’s innovative coaching techniques, personalized training programs, and unwavering dedication to his students’ growth and success are at the core of his professional philosophy.

When he’s not on the court, Dusty enjoys fishing, golfing, hiking, any competitive setting, and live music, which further enrich his approach to coaching and community engagement. Dusty is also a proud parent of two adult children and the owner of two mini-Australian shepherds. His professional goal is to continue enhancing all aspects of PACE.
